About the Houston Darts Association

The Houston Darts Association (HDA) was originally founded in 1974 and has as its stated purpose “To promote the sport of darts”.  Towards this objective, the HDA runs organized dart tournaments and leagues with matches played at local bars throughout Houston and the surrounding area.

To facilitate fair and fun play for all, we try to offer at least two divisions to accommodate different skill levels.  The HDA proudly welcomes all individuals of any race, gender or age (21+).  Seasons typically run 3 to 4 months, with roughly 3 seasons per calendar year.

League play is held on weekday nights starting at 8 PM, with 4 to 6 persons per team participating. The HDA will release a schedule at the beginning of the season that dictates which teams play whom and when.  A team will generally play roughly half its matches at its “home” bar, and the other half at “away” bars.

Fees are minimal and often the “home” bar will cover this cost.
